White, 66, was a two-time American League All-Star and played his entire career with the Yankees between 1965 and 1979. The switch-hitting outfielder won two World Series rings with New York and appeared in three Fall Classics.
He will be accompanied by Yankees special advisor and senior vice president Gene Michael, representing the club's New York baseball operations department.
A former Major League infielder, Michael served as the Yankees' general manager from 1990-95, helping the club obtain prized young talent, including the "Core Four" of Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte. Michael also managed the Yankees for 168 games in 1981 and 1982.
The Yankees have the 32nd pick in the first round.
