Have you ever wanted to take batting practice at Yankee Stadium?
Now you can bid on the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of swinging for the same fences that A-Rod and Derek Jeter do. On July 31, as part of the 2010 Yankees-Steiner Home Run Classic, participants will take the field and take their cuts with special guest instructors Wade Boggs, Darryl Strawberry, Bucky Dent and Doc Gooden.
The package includes a four- to five-minute hitting session and a tour of the clubhouse area and Monument Park. Participants will also take home a batting-practice ball signed by each athlete in attendance.
The package covers spots for two people, although only one will participate in the batting practice. Interested fans are encouraged to bid early and often, as the early demand has been high.
