Yankee Stadium will once again celebrate the holidays in grand fashion when the home of the New York Yankees hosts the fourth annual Bronx Winter Wonderland event on Friday, December 13, from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
The event, held in conjunction with the Bronx Borough President's Office and Legends Hospitality, has drawn approximately 5,000 local children in each of the past three years.
Hosted in Yankee Stadium's Great Hall, local youth will be treated to a holiday extravaganza, complete with holiday decorations, festive music - including caroling by Harlem RBI - and food and drink.
In support of this effort, the New York Yankees Foundation made a contribution in the amount of $25,000. A matching contribution was made by Neil and Amanda Friedman to aid in ensuring that each child in attendance receives a holiday gift.
"For four straight years my office has been proud to work with the New York Yankees and all of our sponsors to bring the holiday spirit to thousands of Bronx children," said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. "This event is a wonderful way for my office, together with the New York Yankees, to celebrate this time of giving and help those in need have a joyous holiday season."
