SEATTLE -- Derek Jeter reached another notable career milestone on Wednesday, stealing his 350th base in the first inning of the Yankees' game against the Mariners at Safeco Field.

Running on a 3-2 count to Jacoby Ellsbury, Jeter slid safely into second base with no throw from catcher Mike Zunino as Ellsbury struck out. The stolen base was Jeter's second of the season.

"I got the green light, and green light, that means you go," Jeter said after the Yankees' 4-2 victory. "Just because I haven't done something doesn't mean I can't do it. I got the green light, I was in a good situation, so I took advantage of it."

Jeter is just the third player in Major League history with 3,000 or more hits, 350 or more stolen bases and 250 or more home runs, joining Rickey Henderson and Craig Biggio in that select group.

Jeter, who added another stolen base in the seventh inning, is the Yankees' all-time stolen-base leader, 25 ahead of Henderson, whose 326 with the club happened from 1985-89.
