NEW YORK -- Derek Jeter's double in the fourth inning of Tuesday's game against the Rays was the 534th in his career, tying Lou Gehrig for first on the Yankees' all-time list.

Rays starter David Price had held the Yankees without a hit through three innings before Jeter tagged him with a leadoff double, extending his hitting streak to seven games.

Jeter entered Tuesday hitting .329 with three doubles, one home run, eight RBIs and 10 runs scored during his past 18 games.
